Our Electric Alligator Lopper made me think of the Toro Ultra 12 amp Electric Blower / Vacuum we got a few Fall’s ago. Both of them are extremely light and functional for their tasks. Upon use you will notice how quiet this is compared to other gas-motored leaf blowers. Gas motored leaf blowers are also oily, carburetors leak, and the gas exhaust is not pleasant either. Those living around you will be pleased! Oil and gas of course are becoming more and more expensive so those residual costs add up. Not to mention the Toro has more suction power than a gas blower. Delonghi CGH800-U Retro Panini Grill Recipe CGH800 Deals

A recent favorite purchase for this summer has been the Delonghi CGH800-U Retro Panini Grill for sandwiches, Panini, even meat / vegetables. First thing that caught my eye was that on eBay and Amazon, this Delonghi Panini Grill was 65% off it’s regular price. Also the near perfect reviews, and the ones that gave it a 4 rating were generally nitpicking.

The first few uses brought out what we had already assumed. The panini grill locks into place and puts a firm amount of pressure on the bread. Since it is not a flat top one would assume it does not heat evenly, but the pressure from the lock-down top makes up for this. Most of the negatives with other competitor panini grills like the George Foreman is that they do not put enough pressure on the bread, thus the insides are not being cooked as well as they could be (and the cooking temp is just not high enough), and the lack of pressure shows with the non existent grill marks on the bread most of the time.

Cleanup is simple with a wet wipe on the non stick area. A more intense washing is needed if you are grilling chicken or other meat on there. Cheese and other run on ingredients are easy to come off again because of the non stick. Not much comes out as once the sandwich is locked down from the top and your food does not relocate.

Like an oven, the Delonghi CGH800 Panini Grill has a light that flashes on once the ideal temperature is hit. Only a few minutes is needed to heat up as well. And with the dial you can change the temperature when you want to slow down / speed up the cooking. One confusing thing about the Delonghi Panini is that there is no off / on switch! So you are either going to have to unplug it straight from the wall or have it into a surge protector or something similar to just shut the power off, but it is a rare negative for this machine.

As stated above, the Delonghi CGH800 Retro Panini Grill went on sale as summer got near and we picked it up for 51$, which is 88$ off what it normally is at Amazon (140$). Plus Amazon FREE SHIPPING which is always a treat. A friend who had told us of the product found it on eBay for around 55$ just a bit earlier. Most fire pits this price are cheap and won’t last, which you definitely can’t say about this one not to mention the added grill feature. The main purpose seemed to be an attractive fire pit that happened to have a grill grate, but it’s been a boon in terms of the value from the grill since we can have a bonfire at the same time. The Landmann Fire Pit was easy to assemble upon receiving from Amazon, and the most reassuring part was the strength of the legs. They are short and thick thus a sturdy base to rely on. Not to mention the fire pit is just an attractive piece of work that everyone comments on. The pit provides ample room for wood and in turn can heat plenty of people. All of those side holes help both to start the fire and to act as pockets to let the heat out. Have experienced with all sorts of flavored wood chips to alter the taste depending on what I’m cooking.

Cover or move the grill if you are expecting rain. It goes without saying but with the Landmann Big Sky Fire Pit we are advised to keep sand at the bottom so that’s even more reason to avoid the rain.

AeroGrow AeroGardens caught my eye a while back after stumbling upon them on Amazon. I knew it’d be a good gift at some point for my sister Mary. She does plenty of gardening, but the AeroGarden is sort of a treat to be able to grow herbs efficiently indoors. Especially since living in Minnesota we’re blessed with snow nearly half the year. Thus, gardening year round is possible. Of course we had to grab one ourselves to ensure it worked as well as we read it did. Sure enough, it has satisfied. The AeroGrow AeroGarden 3 with 3-Pod English Garden Flowers Seed Kit went on sale for over half off a bit ago, so we had to act. 64$ instead of 130$, plus Amazon’s free shipping (which is key for a big product like this, where you’re otherwise forking over an extra 20$ in shipping).

Very simple setup. Literally took us 10-15 minutes to check it out and have the three seed compartments ready to go with Cucumber seeds and Cherry Tomato seeds. Herbs in an AeroGarden Seed Kit grow fast. In a matter of weeks the sprouts reached 1″. You can adjust the brightness to give it even more power (making it grow a bit faster, and make the plants thicker). When you grow with AeroGrow AeroGarden 3, it is set on a default 17 hours of brightness. This can make it difficult to keep in the room you sleep in, but more manageable if you choose the black AeroGarden (which in my opinion looks better anyway).

If you would like more customization features (being able to alter lighting times, for example) or just want a bigger AeroGrow, I suggest you look into the AeroGrow AeroGarden Gourmet Herb Seed Kit. Much larger AeroGarden, and I believe it is the original AeroGrow to hit the market (sold to 400,000+ AeroGrowers!)

It always seemed like I could get more out of my Gas / Electric chain saws. Our Alligator Lopper though is such a trusty and handy tool that has taken over most of our yard jobs. If you are hacking down a thick tree a more traditional chain saw would be your best bet but you would be surprised at the power of the Black & Decker Alligator Lopper 4.5 Electric Chain Saw. Larger trees still are no problem and it cuts through a thick oak branch like butter.

Initially we had it ordered to try it out once it went under 100$ (normally it is 180$ but Amazon has it for 95$ and free shipping, basically 50% off). First impression upon wielding the Alligator Lopper was how light it was and that it is much more safe with the enclosed blades. My grandparents could use this chain saw! We have had a few chain saws dull their blades from hitting the ground or a rock when cutting trees close to the ground. This is definitely no worry with the Alligator Chain Saw because of how it is constructed, so you do not need to prop a tree up to cut it.

When ordering the Alligator Lopper it was clear right away it would be much easier to use than a traditional chain saw. It can just latch onto branches with it’s grasp, reach, and light weight. Much easier on the back after a day of yard working. There are no weather limitations since it is electric and you do not have to worry about gas. Also it is easy to just add oil while you are working; they suggest every 10 minutes but you can do a lot of trimming in 10 minutes.
