This Toshiba laptop has been a top seller on Amazon as of late (as high as #2 among Laptops). Moreover, the Toshiba A505-S6973 16 inch laptop is remarkable value at just 650$ compared to the Macbook which sells for 1000$ or more.

A couple things from using this Toshiba laptop the last few months.

The screen size rivals that of my desktop. And the sound card and speakers would have you think it is a desktop as well. Never have I heard some clear (and loud) music coming from the laptop. Great for watching movies as well. Our old Acer pales in comparison. Plus, the Acer would get quite warm with the laptop being on over time. The Toshiba rarely feels warm, yet the fan hums along quietly.

This Toshiba is a big laptop, coming in at 7 pounds with the nice screen size. Spend the first few hours flushing the computer of some of the extraneous programs (that said, it’s less to take care of than most).

Part of the deal with the Toshiba Satellite A505-S6973 Laptop is that you get to claim a free upgrade to Windows 7 from Microsoft Vista. 4 GB of ram available, which is plenty, but you can upgrade to 8 too.
