Having owned this for a year, it is a beast in terms of sound quality. Amazingly crisp. 5.25 inch side-firing subwoofer and a 5.25-inch tuned passive radiator for huge natural bass. You can hook this up to any iPod, iPhone or other MP3 device, and then switch between the two inputs whenever you wish. Sometimes I even hook the TV up to it and it produces great sounds.
Only downsides are that it does not play CD’s and it takes 8 D batteries – would be nicer to have a rechargeable battery but not surprised given how huge this classic boombox is (the size also kind of restricts it to AC outlet use). For the price though, you won’t find better value in a speaker system / boombox style.
